Washer Utility Person
Duties:
Cleans packaging containers.
Load and unload product into washer unit.
Turns valves and observes gauges to setspecified flow of water or steam from jets in machine.
Starts machine that moves work piece by actionof conveyor or into bath tank through spray of rinse water.
Examines work piece and removes foreign matter.
Measures or weighs out and pours specifiedquantity of soap or detergent or rust preventative solution into washermachine.
Obtains and sorts product and sorts out productor parts that are visibly undesirable parts to our customers (i.e. foundryflaws, unfinished parts, incomplete assemblies, bad burrs) and sets asideundesirable parts insuring that they are returned to quality control forreview.
Starts, stops and regulates speed of washermachine.
Inserts product into containers or usesmechanical lifting devices (cranes) to insert product into containers.
Identify equipment malfunctions. Notifiesdepartment lead immediately so maintenance work orders can be completed.
Accurately completes and submits appropriatedocumentation in a timely manner.
Safe operation of equipment, including handtruck, forklift, etc.
Prior to using forklift must perform operationsand safety check.
Work in a safe manner and follow all safetyrules and procedures to ensure personal safety as well as safety of co-workers.
Perform various material handling duties in thefacility, moving material between departments, plants, and storage areas aswell as painting of finished units to be shipped.
Proceed safely to assigned areas to pull, load,and move material. Stack skids/pallets in designated areas.
Keep work area neat and orderly (5s standards).
Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications to Bid:
Ability to perform toverbal and written instructions, including read/write English and interpretdocuments and instructions. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to be responsible with motorizedequipment Good eye/hand coordination andgood motor skills Satisfactorily passin-company forklift driver training program and demonstrates in a road testsafe handling of forklift truck. One years of warehouse/material handling/lift truck experience. High School Diplomaor GED.
